“With rude shock, I received the news of the transition of His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr) Aaron Adi Ikuborije (JP), the Agbana of Isanlu and Chairman Yagba East Traditional Council.
“The entire good people of Kogi West senatorial District, in deep sadness, express their heartfelt condolence to our royal family, over the passing of the illustrious Royal Father.
“Our hearts are with our Royal family, at this difficult time. We know that those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear. As we mourn HRM Pa Aaron Ikuborije’s death, we wish all citizens of Isanlu and Yagba hope in the midst of sorrow and comfort in the midst of pain.
“Our departed Kabiyesi was a sweet father to all Yagba citizens, a pillar in the realm and a great confidant. He always had a nice friendly greeting when we saw him. His passing has come at a time Nigeria needs the service of citizens of his mould, apostles who preach unity, stability and progress of the nation.
“We pray that God Almighty give our Royal fathers and the Isanlu royal family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss of our esteemed, father as he joins his ancestors. We pray for the repose of his gentle soul.
“Life is eternal, and love is immortal, death is only a horizon and a horizon is nothing but the limit of our sight. May the gentle soul of our beloved Oba Aaron Adi Ikuborije, the Agbana of Isanlu, rest in perfect peace,” he said.
